A Popular Perk From Black Ops Universe Has Been Confirmed for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies!

The hyped launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 next month will also unleash Zombies. That’s something many fans are already aware of by now. But recently, a new piece of information has revealed that an iconic Zombies-based gameplay feature will also appear in MW3’s scary experience when it’s available. It’s coming straight from several popular Black Ops installments in the past!

Thanks to a recently shared clip on social media, many Call of Duty fans have figured out the return of a classic Perk-a-Cola. It happens to be among the most used elements in the Black Ops franchise’s Zombies-based modes. Now, Modern Warfare 3 players will also get to have a blast using it.

PhD Flopper is coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies

For the uninitiated, PhD Flopper is a Perk-a-Cola found in COD Zombies. Initially, it was introduced in the map Ascension and then came back in Call of the Dead, Shangri-La, Moon, Cell Block, and Origins. Speaking of it in detail, PhD Flopper costs 2000 points to obtain. Furthermore, it has a dark blue and purple color scheme; mostly purple though. Its icon has got radiation trefoil that emits shockwaves.

When used, the PhD Flopper fully negates self-inflicted damage. However, the player still gets a little bit of damage upon falling from an elevated area, such as a tall building. Another great feature of this perk-a-cola is that it results in a massive radius explosion when the player dives to prone from a given height.

Now, it looks like PhD Flopper will also emerge in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, going by a new gameplay clip. It was recently shared by trusted insider Hope on X (formerly Twitter).

Observing the brief video, it becomes clear that PhD Flopper is confirmed for Modern Warfare 3 Zombies. The player who’s seen jumping from a tall building causes a similar impact which is only created after utilizing the aforementioned Perk-a-Cola. It will be interesting to see how Modern Warfare players will use it when the game comes out next month.

Activision‘s brand-new FPS premium will offer tons of content upon its global debut. To begin with, there will be a revamped Multiplayer experience with improved movement mechanics. Furthermore, players will get to revisit 16 remastered maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2. To name a few, there will be Favela, Rust, Highrise, Estate, Skidrow, Afghan, and Derail among many others.

Then, there’s the traditional Campaign focusing on the single-player story. However, it will also receive a unique feature called open-combat missions, thanks to Sledgehammer’s dev team. It will allow for a creative approach to completing a given quest in a different manner altogether – similar to open-world games.

Last but not least, the Zombies mode will also make its debut with the release of Modern Warfare 3. Its open-world experience will be based on a PvE format. Players will need to either form teams together or go solo against large hordes of the undead. They will have to complete certain objectives, loot items, and then extract successfully.
