Not all investments work out for the better. European gaming giants, Embracer acquired Borderlands devs GearBox Entertainment for close to $1.5 billion in 2021. But the investments didn’t pay off and the company is now looking for buyers for the Borderlands maker. The decision comes after the European conglomerate lost a ton of money in a deal that went south earlier this year.

The company has acquired multiple studios in the past few years and is now looking to make some profit from its investments. With the latest decision in a series of lay-offs, the community is eager to learn what will happen to the Borderlands franchise in the coming days.
