Microsoft has etched its name in the history of gaming by pulling off the biggest deal to date. Microsoft has bought the famous independent game developer and publisher Activision Blizzard for a record $68.7 billion cash offer. This will make some of the most loved franchises such as Call Of Duty, World of Warcraft, and Overwatch join the Xbox Game Pass with titles such as Forza, Halo, and Fallout.
The CEO of Activision Blizzard Bobby Kotick spoke about the possibilities for the Call of Duty franchise and everything that led to this deal being monumentalized. Activision Blizzard was already in a bad spot due to Warzone and Vanguard not doing so well. This had led to the company’s stock prices falling, making the takeover easier for Microsoft.
