Now, the CEO of the company revealed his wishes to follow in the footsteps of the former Mayor of New York City, Mike Bloomberg. Activision is in a state of flux right now. The game studio has just been acquired by Microsoft and things will take time to fall into place. While Xbox fans rejoice in the takeover, the Activision CEO has recently revealed his plans after his departure from the company.

Activision CEO wishes to go down a philanthropic path

Microsoft has taken over Activision-Blizzard in exchange for a staggering $68.7 billion. After the final green signal to the deal, fans are in deep speculation as to what this bodes for the Xbox store in the coming days. While community excitement is skyrocketing regarding incoming titles to the Xbox Game Pass, Kotick seems to be more focused on 2024, as next year the Activision CEO is slated to depart from the company after thirty years. Kotick will be receiving a 400 million dollar payout from Activision’s takeover and has some plans on how to make the most of such a baffling amount of money.

In a recent interview, Kotick revealed that he has some plans on what to do after his life in Activision. He said that reducing hatred and intolerance in the world is something he wishes to contribute to and bridging gaps has been a passion of his for a long time. Kotick also mentions Mike Bloomberg, the entrepreneurial giant as one of his inspirations.

Activision titles to blow up after the Microsoft takeover

Now that Microsoft has direct control over popular Activision titles like Call of Duty, many fans are elated beyond words. The Xbox Game Pass is expected to include more CoD titles in the coming days and we certainly believe that a long list of Blizzard titles will be added to the Game Pass soon.
