“Actually Don’t Start on Twitch” – A Solid Advice to Young Creators From Amouranth, the Only Female Twitch Streamer in the Top 100

Twitch Streamer Amouranth stands as one of the most celebrated streamers in the community. Notably, she is backed by six million followers on Twitch. And recently, she gave her expertise on streaming for aspiring streamers.

Kaitlyn Michelle “Amouranth” Siragusa has been recognized as the Best ASMR Streamer during The Streamer Awards 2022. And while she stands as the only female Twitch streamer in the top 100, she seems to have had a good amount of experience. However, it seems she prefers aspiring streamers to not start streaming on Twitch. But why not Twitch, and if not Twitch, then where else and how?

Amouranth gives advice to the ones starting off with streaming

Amouranth was invited to The Nightcap on Fox 26 Houston. During the interview, Amouranth’s career, her first stream, her earnings, and many more topics were discussed. Moreover, as the show reached its end, Carolina Sanchez, the host of the show, asked Amouranth about the advice she has for someone who wants to start streaming.

To this, Amouranth replied, “Actually don’t start on Twitch. I think if you’re gonna get started, you have to have followers from somewhere. Because Twitch doesn’t really have discovery on its own platform. TikTok is a great place, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube. All those things are way easier to get started on than Twitch. And then you can have your followers come watch you on Twitch.”

Thus, this was Amouranth’s advice to someone who is starting off their streaming career. And coming from the only female Twitch streamer in the top 100 surely does add some weight.

During the show, Carolina Sanchez asked about Amouranth’s first stream. Amouranth told that she had 15 viewers in the first year. Moreover, she said that she was playing games while wearing costumes. She also recalled the time when she was cosplaying Tracer to play Overwatch on the stream.

Surprisingly, when asked about her earnings, Amouranth admitted that she presently earns around $100K just from Twitch. Also, she declared that she has an average viewership of 10,000 views. Thus, one can safely say that the ASMR queen has come a long way in the streaming community and has undoubtedly become a profound one.
