2022 has been a magnificent year for the video gaming and streaming industry. With the launch of new games, the streamers got to expose their viewership to newer content. And after whole 365 days spent, it becomes a perfect occasion to have a throwback and look at who dominated the YouTube gaming industry. And it turns out it’s none other than IShowSpeed.

Darren Watkins Jr. popularly known as IShowSpeed on the internet is one of the most popular faces of the industry. From a streamer to releasing his own FIFA World Cup song, he has had a marvelous journey in 2022.

IShowSpeed’s streams are often filled with varied high-spirited emotions mixed with a whole gallon of humor and funny snippets which entertains the viewership. And surely this has landed him the top spot in the list of most-watched YouTube Gaming streamers for 2022. The Twitter account of Streamer Charts (@StreamerCharts) shared a list showing IShowSpeed, Dr Disrespect, Ludwig, and many others.

As per the above data in the tweet, IShowSpeed leads the list with over 37 million hours of getting watched. It surely becomes a great accomplishment to be shared with his fandom.

Speed started gaining undivided attention from the public following his feature on the Sidemen Charity Football match. Big stars like MrBeast, Sidemen, LazarBeam, and others participated in the match, but Speed had been the highlight of the event. Right from the tackle on KSI in the early minutes of the match to impersonating the Cristiano Ronaldo impression of ‘SUIII’ made him the star of the event. The stadium echoed with ‘SUIII’ but the goal was disallowed. Nevertheless, the hype train wasn’t just stopping there.

The star went ahead to produce his own FIFA World Cup song which was acknowledged by FIFA World Cup authorities on Twitter. Unfortunately, it didn’t make it to the event but surely drew many eyes toward it. Though the year was a great one for him, he did face some controversies which landed him in a tough spot.
