It looks like Call Of Duty Mobile will be the phoenix of the esports industry, and there are multiple reasons for it.
In 2022, EA enthralled fans by announcing two big games, Apex Legends Mobile and Battlefield. While the former broke the markets right after release, Battlefield sailed through multiple rounds of testing. Still, EA gave early access to a few handfuls, releasing the game’s beta. And to everyone’s surprise, both games faired well in time. However, that did not mean the game had problems, especially Apex Mobile.
A dark shadow always lingered over the devs as fans complained about multiple issues in the game. Plus, they were unhappy with the game’s condition as the franchise added limited updates compared to the timeline. So, after months of thinking, EA decided to cancel the game, announcing its exit on May 4, 2023. On top of that, they pushed out a piece of news claiming to drop Battlefield mobile, a game yet to launch. This led to the question of whether Call Of Duty would now be the lone warrior of the industry.
