Lately, the Twitter community has been getting exposed to many new developments. From the enrollment of Twitter Blue to Elon Musk talking about introducing Vine, the platform is going through many changes. However, the temporary closing of Twitter offices caused people to speculate about the end of the platform.

On October 27, 2022, Elon Musk ended the months-long suspense after officially acquiring Twitter in a $44 billion deal. Since then, Elon has been introducing changes for the betterment of the platform and its users. Though some seemed skeptical about some changes, some profusely appreciated the effort. Surprisingly, recent news about Twitter closing office buildings and denying access to employees raised speculation. And, the community reacted to it, but in a rather cheerful way.

Notably, Twitter exists as one of the major social media platforms. The format of Twitter defines the propagation of messages and developments. Moreover, Elon, becoming the new torchbearer of the platform, rolled out some changes. Twitter Blue was one. According to the policy, people had to take monthly subscriptions for the blue badge. Amongst many such developments, one surfaced about Twitter offices getting closed.

As reported by Rolling Stone, Twitter announced via email that it would close its offices and disable employee badge access until Monday. Surprisingly, as soon as the news hit the internet, people started speculating about the ‘dying’ of Twitter. Moreover, some even posted their ‘last tweets’ in a comedic tone.

Also, the gaming community was no exception in reacting to the trending #RIPTwitter. For example, popular Call of Duty streamer TimTheTatman tweeted, “apparently “rip twitter” is trending so this could be my last tweet… let that sink in.” One can see the tweet below:

Given the reactions of the people, it can be said that the community found a way to not let people settle for sadness or worry. Nevertheless, as reported by BBC, the offices will open on November 21. Thus, only then one would get an even cleared view of the foreseeable future.

Is Vine going to return to Twitter after Elon Musk did a poll and talked with MrBeast about it?

Last month, Elon tweeted and started a poll about bringing back Vine. Notably, 69.6% of the voters were in favor of the move. Moreover, YouTube star Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson entered the Twitter thread with a suggestion. MrBeast replied by saying “If you did that and actually competed with tik tok that’d be hilarious.” Interested in the idea, Elon asked about what could be done to make it better.

To this, MrBeast replied, “No one is original anymore, whatever you do will be on every other platform the next month unless it has a deep moat. YouTube has shorts, insta has reels, Reddit, Snapchat, Facebook, etc. all copied TT. Whatever u do make it hard to copy or it’s a waste of time imo.”

Undoubtedly, it can be said that Elon wants to bring fruitful changes and the ones that the community would vouch for, just like the Vine re-introduction. Thus, one can only leave it to the future to witness how the proceedings go.
