Call of Duty keeps bringing new content into the game, and in recent times, it meant crossovers with other game series. Netflix teases a potential Tomb Raider anime series

In a new trailer, $195 billion streaming giant Netflix showcased some of their upcoming anime projects. During the same, they teased the arrival of a Tomb Raider anime. As part of the Netflix DROP 01 event, a video filled with bits and pieces from different animes lined up for release gave a small hint that Lara Croft might also be involved. As Netflix showed the studios it worked with, fans could see Crystal Dynamics in big letters.

For those who do not know Crystal Dynamics, it is the studio behind the Tomb Raider games.  Since the title is by far their most popular game, fans seem to think a Lara Croft anime is on the cards for the future!

These rumors might just have some ground to stand on. Netflix has a history of bringing anime adaptations of video game franchises. The most obvious example is the Castlevania series, based on the video game franchise of the same name. The series saw a lot of popularity amongst fans.

Among the range of teasers that Netflix dropped, one that turned heads was the Watch Dogs logo. Looks like after Tomb Raider, Netflix has another series lined up for an anime release with Watch Dogs, only with this, fans have solid proof.

A member of the hacking group Dedsec comes on the screen for a moment, confirming Watch Dogs will come sometime in the future.

This can be a new beginning for the series, essentially giving it a chance to set things right with fans. When the first game was announced, Watch Dogs was the only thing fans could talk about.

However, the release changed everything, with the game being a downgrade from the initial footage. With the anime, Watch Dogs has the potential to change the way people view the franchise.

If they bring back characters such as Aiden Pearce or Wrench, they could build storylines people are into. Even if these characters appear as a brief part of the series, it might just be a nice nod to the games. Only time will tell where the game’s anime goes!
