Call of Duty has maintained its tradition of releasing a new game every year. And the players love enjoying the new content. That’s been the case with the most recent entries in the action franchise from Activision. However, it has been catering exclusive surprises to PlayStation users. Last year, there was a special Operator unveiled, especially for PS4 and PS5 owners. Fortunately, there’s a piece of good news now for Xbox and PC players who were curious to equip this exclusive Operator.

After more than a year, the PlayStation-only Operator is now ‘free to be accessed’ on PC and Xbox. It was originally revealed ahead of Modern Warfare II‘s launch in 2022. Even this year’s COD title, Modern Warfare 3, features a brand new Operator, available only to PS owners. However, it appears that the landscape is gradually evolving, providing wider access to this exclusive operator. Let’s dig in a bit deeper to find out more about this new Operator.

Call of Duty players can now obtain PlayStation-exclusive Operator on Xbox and PC

For the uninitiated, Hiro Watanabe, aka Oni, is the character of the KorTac faction in Modern Warfare II. He was first introduced in 2022, before MWII’s debut as a timed PlayStation Operator on November 4, 2023. However, now that its exclusivity period is over, the PlayStation-only character can be accessed on other devices too.

Industry insider Detonated on X recently took to the social media platform to inform people about the crucial update. The account mentioned that Oni is now available on all platforms. Furthermore, he also revealed the intel on how one can equip the Operator Pack in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

On the other hand, there’s another PlayStation exclusive Operator for this year’s Modern Warfare 3. Fans will have to wait until next year in order to obtain that pack. It features the character of Lockpick.

The last platform-exclusive content

Interestingly, Lockpick’s Pack is the last platform-exclusive content for a Call of Duty game. After acquiring Activision, Microsoft has made it clear that the series won’t offer anything extra for any specific device in the future. This means that players on all the platforms will receive similar content when it comes to gameplay, cosmetics, or any other addition.

Coming back to Oni, he can be accessed from the in-game store of MWII and Warzone on Xbox and PC. While the latest installment is soon going to stop getting major updates, it will be succeeded by Modern Warfare 3. The next big installment is arriving worldwide later this month, on November 10.
