Following the uproaring news of Henry Cavill not continuing the role of Superman and the Geralt of Rivia in ‘The Witcher’, fans were perplexed as to where the 39-year-old superstar was headed. The reason for the fans’ shock regarding Cavill’s discontinuation as DC’s Superman was built on the fact that the star had recently confirmed his comeback to the franchise. However, he remained afar from the Netflix series ‘The Witcher’ after he announced his exit, following which, Liam Hemsworth became the torchbearer. In good spirits, the actor had passed regard to the respective makers for a flourishing journey ahead and was simultaneously laying the foundation for his next project.

As it turns out, the larger-than-life personality will star in Warhammer 40,000 series. For those who don’t know, Warhammer 40,000 is a miniature battle game developed by ‘Games Workshop’.

Cavill acquainted the community with this news through an Instagram post. “For 30 years I have dreamt of seeing a Warhammer universe in live action. Now, after 22 years of experience in this industry, I finally feel that I have the skill set and experience to guide a Warhammer Cinematic Universe into life. To all of you Warhammer fans out there, I promise to respect this IP that we love. I promise to bring you something familiar. And I endeavour to bring you something fantastic that is, as of yet, unseen,” he said.
Amazon has secured the film/TV rights to the game, ending months-long negotiations on a celebratory note, as reported by the organization The Hollywood Reporter. Moreover, it is can be firmly said that the polished superstar, whose talent ages well like fine wine, wouldn’t miss the chance to bring out the best in his role.

As for his gaming love, he had once admitted to having almost lost the role of Superman by being too engrossed in playing World of Warcraft. Also, he had put his sleep second only to the League of Legends Netflix series Arcane which received high reviews from the star. Cavill, in 2020, had also shared a glimpse of the Nvidia RTX 3090 owned by him, implying the star’s passion for playing games.
