It takes a special streamer to make waves in the community. Creators such as Pewdiepie and Ninja have always been at the top of streaming platforms such as YouTube and Twitch respectively. Their massive success rewarded them and their fans with the content they created. With this, xQc signed a deal with Kick worth $100 million to stream on the platform, but not everyone is happy with it.

Following this deal, xQc is officially out-earning some top athletes, like NFL legend Pat Mahomes. But not everything is rosy. Though most people are happy for the streamer, some people took to Twitter, expressing their displeasure at the Kick contract.

xQc to earn more than top athletes

xQc was a top earner among Twitch streamers. While he was not the top earner, he certainly remains a prominent streamer in the community. He began his streaming career following his time as part of a professional Overwatch team. It seems his journey into streaming culminated in this massive deal.

With a $100 million contract being signed with Kick, xQc is set to become one of the top-earning streamers. However, it seems fans are not happy about the terms of the deal. The payout for xQc by this deal will see him earn more than most NBA players. In fact, with this deal, xQc’s annual salary is more than some of the top basketball stars such as Luka Dončić as well as James Harden. Last year, LeBron James’ 2-year contract extension saw him elevated to the highest-paid player in the league. However, xQc’s deal is worth more than that too! James has a $97.1 million contract, just shy of xQc’s magic number.

What was even more shocking to fans is that this is a non-exclusive deal. xQc does not have to solely stream on Kick. He is free to stream on any other platform. This is huge because, with a deal this big, one expects exclusive streaming conditions. However, since none were included, xQc’s income over the next two years could go well over $100 million. It goes on to show the command xQc holds over the viewer base.
