After Sudden Resurgence of Popularity With Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red Sets Their Eyes on Releasing Their Greatest Game of 2015 on Next Gen Consoles

The Witcher 3 is one of the best, if not the best, games of the last generation. After Developers scrapped the Seventh gen version, it was released for Ps4 and Xbox One in 2015. It broke several sales records, and today it has a 93% Metacritic rating.

The best thing about CD Projekt RED is they don’t stop working on their games. People talk a lot about how they turned around Cyberpunk 2077, and also how they even changed Witcher 3 for the better over the years. And they seem to have no intention to stop either.

Cyberpunk 2077 Developers announced it a long time ago

Recently The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077 developer officially announced that the next-gen version of this critically acclaimed open-world role-playing game would release on 14th December 2022. Now this version of the game has been a long time coming. CD PROJEKT RED announced this version close to the cyberpunk 2077 launch.

Chances are they wanted to fix cyberpunk 2077 before moving on to Witcher 3. Also, the way Cyberpunk launched, it is better to give developers their space and not push them for a release.

This update will bring a lot of changes to the game. Fans expect improved resolution on consoles and some ray tracing implementation. Though the most significant addition fans are expecting is to get a 60-fps mode, which might even be possible, with FSR 2.0 now available on consoles. CD Projekt Red has even implemented it in console versions of Cyberpunk 2077 with the latest 1.62 patches and, it works way better than expected.

There are a lot of expectations, but currently the developers are not confirming anything. The only thing one might expect is that gameplay-related improvements would also come to the Nintendo Switch version of the game, and that is some dedication.
