Surprisingly, a segment came when Garnt Maneetapho, a co-host, asked PewDiePie, “are you retired or [raising the quotes gestures] retired?” Taking the thought ahead, co-host Joey Bizinger did say it to be “the biggest question all of your[PewDiePie] fans.” And PewDiePie had the answer to a pivotal question.

PewDiePie said, “I’ve said it years ago because I think I had done it 10 years at the time and I was just thinking like I don’t know if it’s like a middle-aged crisis or something.” Furthermore, he said, “Like you’re 30. I’ve done this 10 years and I’m just like, do I want to keep doing it at this pace for like another 10 years? And I was like ‘F*** no.”

Under this light, PewDiePie admitted to having made a “conscious choice to” focus on things that he will enjoy. Moreover, he did say that he didn’t like the pressure of “chasing algorithms” and doing what people like. Instead, he cheerfully stands with the idea of why not pursue what he likes. Which always has been acknowledged by the community. Thus, with that, the streamer calmed the waves surrounding his retirement.
