Mark Edward Fischbach, better known as Markiplier, has established himself as a significant and influential content creator in the gaming space of YouTube. With millions of fans looking up to him as a source of inspiration and positivity, it is easy to forget that even the brightest stars can face tragedies in their lives. 

Recently, mere days after sharing new “bloody” details of his upcoming project, “Iron Lung”, Markiplier shared a piece of sad news. With a cryptic tweet, Mark revealed that he did not have the best of birthdays.

Markiplier shares a disastrous news

On June 29, 2023, Markiplier took to Twitter to share his condition. In a tweet, he wrote, “You’ll never guess what I got for my birthday,” accompanied by pictures of himself in a hospital setting. Turning 34 years old on the day, he shared one snapshot that drew the most attention. 

It depicted Markiplier with horrific distortion, featuring bloody red eyes and disheveled hair. The alarming images quickly went viral, prompting an outpouring of concern and support from fans and casual Twitter users alike. Although there are no known specifics about his health condition, the snaps were worrying on their own.

Interestingly, this tragic incident followed Markiplier’s earlier tease of his upcoming project, “Iron Lung.” On June 27, he posted on Twitter, asking his audience what the record was for the “most blood in a horror movie.” Markiplier hinted that he might have something extraordinary in store, aiming to surpass the 2013 film Evil Dead, which used a staggering 50,000 gallons of blood for its gory climax.

The project is slated to be an American science fiction horror film written, directed, produced by, and starring Fischbach in his feature directorial debut. It is an adaptation of the 2022 video game of the same name by David Szymanski. While the exact details of the blood content in “Iron Lung” are yet to be confirmed, Markiplier’s confidence suggests he has ambitious plans for his upcoming project.

Markiplier’s previous health scares

This is not the first time the ADHD-stricken YouTuber has been hospitalized. He has had multiple health issues in the past. Most notably, he had to undergo surgery for adrenal gland removal due to a tumor. During the surgery, doctors removed his appendix as well. In 2021, he was again hospitalized for intestinal obstructions. He also suffered from a broken foot back in 2021.

However, no matter how serious the issue is, the champion YouTuber has always come out on top till now.

As of now, the YouTuber has not disclosed any information about the cause or severity of his recent injuries.
