It’s time for the Survival horror fans! After waiting for more than a decade, Alan Wake 2 is finally here. While devs Remedy Entertainment had claimed that the game would play lag-free on consoles, the community was startled to see how Alan Wake 2 runs on “elite” graphics cards upon release. Naturally, this wasn’t something on the cards, and fans are left scratching their heads. However, such intense visuals also have their perks.

Now that players have spent some time in the nightmarish world of Alan Wake, many fans believe the game is something extraordinary. Some fans even believe that Alan Wake 2 might be the wildcard that the community needed. The follow-up title to the 2010 horror classic is making waves and fast becoming a favorite nominee for the GOTY award for 2023.

So much so, that many players believe Alan Wake 2 might be one of the contenders for the top spot. Fans have taken over social media over the last few hours to hail Alan Wake 2 as a spectacular game. For a game developed by a studio as small as Remedy Entertainment to go head-on with Insomniac Games and Nintendo titles is something truly incredible.

2023 has seen the release of some astounding games including Bethesda’s Starfield, Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom from Nintendo. However, Alan Wake 2 seems more than comfortable sitting together with these big-budget releases.

For some fans, Alan Wake 2 falls only behind Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in terms of the experience it offers. For others, the Remedy Entertainment title comes even before Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy 16. Another fan is convinced that Alan Wake 2 trumps Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 as well, which has been among the most-anticipated games of the year.

Days ahead of its launch, Alan Wake 2 took the community by surprise. One of the officials from Remedy revealed that the horror game will have DualSense support, making the game more immersive. Using the feature, players can feel the different weapons and even pattering rain in the game.

Along with this gameplay feature, the devs also announced that The Old Gods of Asgard would once again return to rock the world of Alan Wake. This fictional band made the headlines after appearing in the previous Alan Wake title. With so much to look forward to, the community believes Alan Wake 2 will end the year on a high note.
