Since 2021, Alan Wake 2’s hype has been unreal. The devs first teased the game at The Game Awards 2021, showcasing what they had reserved for fans. But then, the game did not reveal much information except that it would release soon. And fans kept anticipating, hoping that Remedy Entertainment would drop a small hint.

Alan Wake 2 is targeting a late 2023 release

The game’s lead protagonist’s voice actor Matthew Porretta recently featured on a YouTube podcast. To jock your memory a little, Porretta was also part of Dr. Control, featuring Casper Darling. So, he ranked far above the group of rookies in the field. Monster, Madness, and Magic, a popular YouTube podcast, invited Matthew as their recent guest.

The idea was to dive deep into his life and understand his role in the upcoming Alan Wake 2. And as expected, fans were in for an absolute treat. During the conversation, Porretta revealed some crucial details about the game.

He said, “I’ve been working on it. That’s supposed to come out in October. We’re in the middle of working on it. Now, in fact, I was just in Finland last week. That’s where the company is from, Remedy, amazing people. I went and auditioned for this job 13 years ago. In fact, it was Alan Wake’s birthday on Sunday, 13 years when it was released, the same day as Red Dead, I think.”
