The past few days have been chaotic at the Twitter headquarters after they got a new CEO. Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, acquired the app after months of speculations and setbacks. Musk stepped into the building with a sink in his hand while firing many of the staff upon arrival. Apparently, he bid adieu to the main guys, the CEO, CFO, and a few others, wrecking the entire management system of the social media platform.

However, that was just a small part of it, as Musk later induced rigorous norms, disappointing the whole user base. He announced a fee for users having verified accounts, which started a massive controversy amongst the community. And amidst this all, a congresswoman accused him of messing with her account as she felt he had something to do with it.

Congresswoman AOC calls out Elon Musk for fidgeting with her account

In the past week, we saw Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, better known as AOC, and billionaire Elon Musk in a feud over the ‘Twitter blue tick.’ The politician posted a bunch of tweets talking about the issue as it triggered her. Twitter gives a blue tick to the accounts that become verified sources and are “authentic, notable, and active.” While this was free of cost in the past, the new CEO added an $8 price for the users.

He felt the platform should churn revenue for it, so it was a great idea. However, AOC wasn’t on the same side, as she added multiple tweets about it. While this was the case last week, AOC has once again fired shots at Elon after her team asked her to check her accounts.

Apparently, AOC’s ‘mentions’ were somehow missing, leading her to a ‘blank screen.’ To this, she indirectly mentioned a billionaire saying, “we got under a billionaire’s skin” at the end of her viral video. Although she did not directly mention the name, the users were smart enough to connect the dots.

But it was a matter of hours before Twitter’s CEO marched in. He said, “What can I say? It was a naked abuse of power.” As of now, AOC is yet to respond to his tweet, putting a halt to this banter. So, it looks like time will decide the fate of this feud.
