Fortnite CEO has applauded creators responsible for the revolution of Creative 2.0.

Watch What’s Trending Now!

Since the introduction of Creative 2.0, Fortnite has yet again broken records in the esports industry. The game has now spent half a decade in the market, introducing different iterations and variations from time to time. Fans were, however, worried about the game’s future as it had seen limited updates lately. To revive the hype, Epic Games introduced Creative 2.0 – crafted on UEFN 5.1.

This introduced spawning items, which allowed you to create your own models, the storm controller – something that enabled players to control more minute details, and AI scripting. It also acted as a boost for creators, allowing them to spend time in the virtual world and jam with their viewers.

Looking at this development, Tim Sweeny, Fortnite’s CEO, has sparred an interesting comment.

What did Fortnite CEO Tim Sweeny say about Creative 2.0?

With the addition of Creative 2.0, creators have gone all-out with their ideas. From bike/ car races, hide & seek, RPG-style maps, OG Fortnite maps, and much more, they dropped it all. However, Vysena, an avid Creative 2.0 map-making studio, stunned the community with its innovation.

They dropped ‘Sandstorm,‘ a map that combined all of Fortnite’s features/game modes. “Participate in massive battles using a variation of vehicles, build your base with your team, and destroy the enemy team’s generators!” its tagline read. While this idea instantly walked into the category of maximum uniqueness, it caught Fortnite CEO Tim Sweeny’s attention.

Upon learning about it, Tim retweeted the post saying, “Amazing how fast this stuff is evolving!” This just shows how much the new Creative mode boosted Fortnite. This ‘innovation mode’ had already set the pace during its first version with creators publishing some exciting maps. But the new feature seems to be helping Epic out much more than they would have initially thought.

The OG and Call Of Duty map controversy

After Creative 2.0’s launch, some avid gamers took things too far. They tried to rebuild iconic maps from Call Of Duty, let alone the OG Fortnite map, which started an avoidable controversy. This is because Tim felt for the originality to be disrupted, and he was completely against it. So, the devs quickly decided to take down any maps that took fans on a trip down memory lane as they believed them to look better in the vault.
