The Streamer is being criticized by many fans and media all over the internet. Some are even calling it an “intentional” mistake. The streamer is receiving a lot of heat amidst the FTX scam controversies. 

Notorious YouTuber IShowSpeed is a very controversial figure on the internet. He has faced dire consequences for his mistakes in the past. Including getting banned from the global streaming giant Twitch. This time the past can repeat itself as Speed is getting huge backlashes from his community. 

Darren Watkins Jr. aka IShowSpeed is an American gaming YouTuber, soccer athlete, and hip-hop musician. He is known for his obnoxious personality and total disregard for social mannerisms. He stirred up some massive controversy after promoting Paradox Crypto in his recent stream. As the media and internet are already burning with the FTX rage, Speed’s mistake fanned the flames even higher.

After the cryptocurrency controversy, Speed has been under the lens for quite a while. Fans were demanding an answer from the streamer. But there was no official statement from Darren. But, in his recent IRL football broadcast, Darren acknowledged the whole controversy and stated an apology for his mistake.

In the latest broadcast, Darren said, “Let me just give you all a quick, a quick quote. I do so much stuff for you all bro. I made a mistake. You know, I’m not that smart. I’m gonna be honest, bro. But as I go, I get smarter and smarter. I made a little mistake, you know, that I wish I never did.”

IShowSpeed also added that he loves his community more than anyone, more than his family. He would never scam them intentionally. He said, “I care about you guys so freaking much, bro. You can ask anybody in my family. Who do I love the most? I love Speed gang the most.“

How did the Fans React to the apology amidst FTX controversy?

As the internet is already very volatile after the billion-dollar scam by Sam Bankman Fried’s company FTX, Speed’s mistake couldn’t have had a worst timing. The fans and other internet users were throwing all kinds of jabs at the 17-year-old streamer, Darren.
