Among Us: InnerSloth Reveals New Skins, Accessories and More Coming With the Red Airship Update

The developer behind Among Us, InnerSloth will be releasing the long-awaited red airship map on March 31st. Yesterday, the game took to Twitter to reveal the airship skin bundle that will be available for purchase when the map drops.
The bundle will include thirteen new hats, three skins, and even a new kill animation and be priced at $1,99, similar to previous skin bundles. The hats include a mohawk, an Irish top-hat, a wizard’s hat, and a fedora among others. Players will also receive three new skins, namely a prisoner, police, and a cyborg skin.
Since the announcement, developers have also showcased how the newest kill animation will work. This animation allows imposters to incinerate their opponents with a red optical laser blast. The kill animation will be exclusive to the cyborg skin.

Future of Among Us
The success of Among Us has proven that it is never too late for a game to pick up steam and become a commercial hit. Before the onset of the pandemic, only a handful of players were enjoying the game. However, the fact that most countries went into lockdown and were forced to abide by social distancing restrictions made it so that social deduction games became a mainstay in most playlists.
InnerSloth first announced that the red airship map would be coming to Among Us back in December last year at The Game Awards 2020. The game has been quite stagnant since it was first released, as a result, this new content was much needed to maintain the relevance and replayability of the game.

Recently, we also saw a collaboration between Fall Guys and Among Us. Mediatonic incorporated the infamous ‘red spaceman’ from Among Us into Fall Guys season 4. Players will be able to earn the Among Us skin in two different levels of the Fame Path. The “Butt” is available when players reach level 21. Additionally, the top half, including a nice fried egg, is unlocked at level 26.
