Despite being on top of the Twitch charts, she surprised her fans by signing a non-exclusive deal with Kick. While she has yet to reveal the details of her Kick contract, the reason she switched over to that platform has come to light.

Amouranth states the reason for her opting for Kick over Twitch

On June 18, popular Twitch streamer Amouranth announced her Kick joining. She posted a minute-long video on Twitter revealing her non-exclusive signing to Kick. She joined alongside another prominent Twitch streamer xQc, who got a deal worth 100 million from Kick. Amouranth, on the other hand, has kept her contract amount a secret.

However, Amouranth has come forward with the reason she switched over. In a statement given to NBC News, she said, “I was the top female streamer on Twitch, but they never reached out with any recognition.”

While Twitch did not give her any recognition despite being a top-performing streamer, Kick has been supportive of the female streamer. She said, “On the other hand, Kick is open from the beginning and communicative. They are open to hearing suggestions. There are decision-makers available for creators to discuss about the platform’s future.”

With this statement, she has clearly picked her choice of streaming platform. Furthermore, her views are also shared by xQc, who signed with Kick alongside her. He claimed Kick is giving him the freedom to try and do things he could never do on Twitch.

With two big names in the industry speaking in favor of Kick, it is sure to entice more content creators to switch over. Furthermore, the 95-5 revenue split offered by the platform surely helps further their cause.

But the main reason Amouranth switched over to Kick remains the amount of support she is getting from the platform. On the other hand, Twitch is bleeding streamers left and right with the likes of GM Hikaru and Ninja also joining Kick.
