In this situation, fans have spotted a recent hike in the first-party games of Xbox Series X/S. Redfall became a debut game to achieve a hike of $69.99. After Redfall, another game to join the list will be everybody’s favorite Starfield. It seemed like Phil Spencer was in the mood for some business.

Following the game price hikes, Microsoft announced a $1 hike for their base Game Pass subscribers with a $2 hike for premium subscribers as well. This seems like a lucrative business policy by Microsoft. Fans are speculating that with Starfield’s enormous popularity, Xbox might overreach its Q1 earnings.

Is new hardware Xbox for Starfield?

With Starfield’s release date coming soon, Microsoft even announced new hardware for Xbox Series S. This new hardware will offer 1TB SSD and is priced at $349. Spencer also confirmed to increase the supply of Xbox One and Xbox X for fans. It was all directed toward Starfield’s crazy fandom.

Fans speculated that with this new hardware and subscription prices, Microsoft tried to reach a global audience. It was confirmed with Spencer’s comment in Games Showcase 2023.
