Dubbed the Xbox ‘Stealth Controller 1.0’ over the internet, this controller looks like the revamped version of Turtle Beach’s ‘Recon’ model. The image from the patent also suggests the touchscreen can be used to display the controller’s charge percentage, player information, and access audio settings. The patent reportedly mentions that players can connect the controller to their smartphones via an app.

For all hard-core gamers on Xbox out there, the Xbox controller is a great piece of hardware. But over time, the controller starts developing drift issues. The major reason for drift issues is using the controller with unclean hands as it leads to grime being stored in the analog sticks.

The sure-fire method to fix your controller drift is cleaning it with a dry cloth first and then rubbing isopropyl alcohol along the analog sticks. Some preventative measure you could take to steer clear of this issue is storing the controller in a cool and dry place. Also, keeping the drivers for the controller up-to-date and not pressing down too hard on the controller keeps the controller functioning for a long.

While you can get rid of the controller drift, the touchscreen controller will still be prone to drift issues. As with most patent filings, it is still unclear when will the Turtle beach controller hit the markets. Perhaps the company is aiming to release the controller for the new Xbox console entirely. Whatever may be the case, this controller’s touchscreen will surely help out the Xbox community to improve their in-game performance.
