Ana Vega in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II – Who Is the New Season 4 Operator and What’s Her Story?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is going to get a brand new season this month. Following many rumors and leaks, the update will finally reveal the highly anticipated map in Vondel for Warzone fans. However, it will also introduce several new faces in terms of offering the players unique Operators.

While there are many returning names like Nikto from 2019’s rebooted Modern Warfare, Season 4 will also unveil an original character. She’s set to make her Call of Duty debut with the awaited update. Well this Operator is known as Ana Vega, who was leaked to appear in the franchise several days ago.

In case anyone missed keeping track of events, recently there were leaks floating online regarding a new female Operator. She was rumored to make an appearance in MWII and Warzone with Season 4. However, many insiders assumed her name to be Heather. But when the official blog for the next update was released, the devs mentioned this character as Ana Vega.

Per the description from the blog, Ana Vega is the daughter of paramedics and Army reservists. She has her family roots connected to Cuba. She could never get a chance to know her parents. That’s because they both were killed during rescue operations in the early days of the Urzikstan conflict.

Ana has graduated from the top honors of the US Military Academy. She also enlisted herself in the Army’s Combat Medic Specialist Training Program (CMSTP). “Proving her exemplary proficiency in combat and as a medic, she eventually caught the attention of her commanding officer, who fast-tracked her to a position on a prestigious Special Forces unit with the 75th Ranger Regiment.”

After proving her mettle, she went on to become one of the first female Ranger combat medics. Later, she was tapped for Task Force Pineapple. The latter is a volunteer unit formed to get US assets out of Central-West Asia. Currently, Ana serves towards the humanitarian efforts. She is working alongside PMCs, providing protection and medical care on aid missions in the world.

Who plays Ana Vega in Call of Duty?

When it comes to the face behind the new COD Operator, it’s based on Heather Gracie. The real-life model for Ana is a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and a fitness freak while also having her interest in shooting guns. Plus, she’s also a music producer and a DJ.

She recently confirmed her collaboration with the action series on Instagram. The official COD account had revealed the first initial images for the next update’s three Operators. Out of them, her character of Ana was also featured in it.

On a side note, it was actually she, who was rumored for Season 4 since the last few days. The leaked name of Heather ended up confusing many scoopers online. As a result, some of them assumed this Operator to be associated with a different real-life personality. But now, everything has been clarified and we know that it was Heather Gracie all along.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II and Warzone’s new update comes out on June 14th, 2023. Players will be able to enjoy the update on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X\S, Xbox One, and PC.
