PlayStation 5 exclusive games to be released in 2023 are growing in numbers by the day. From awaited sequels to anticipated remakes of numerous classics, many games are coming to Sony’s latest generation console next year.

But currently, everyone is focused on the superhero game, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Everyone knows it’s been in development for at least three years at Insomniac games. What no one knows yet is when would this game be launching.

We might not know the exact date, but recent changes on the PlayStation store indicate that we might not be very far from it.

Spider-Man 2 is now available in the PlayStation Store!

Ever since its announcement during a PlayStation 5 showcase last year, Spider-Man 2 hasn’t seen any update. Fans have been eagerly waiting for a gameplay trailer, a development update, or even another teaser from Insomniac games, but to no avail.

Although there have been some small things that happened. The voice of Heimdall in God of War: Ragnarok and Harry Osborn in the upcoming game made an announcement that he is not playing that role anymore. He said the developers are going in a more realistic direction. They would be hiring an actor who would play the character in both voice and performance.

Then recently the actor who is playing Venom in the upcoming game said on a podcast that the Venom in Spider-Man 2 is as crazy as the Rhino scene in Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

And finally, the community manager for Insomniac games tweeted a snippet from the Spider-Man 2 announcement trailer, teasing something that has put the fans unsettled.

And they are probably right, this Tweet was followed by the appearance of Spider-Man 2 on the PlayStation 5 store. There is no option to buy the game, but players can wishlist it if they want.

Fans are sensing a launch date announcement to follow soon

Fans are taking it as an indication that the release date of Spider-Man 2 is closer than anyone would have thought, and we would see an announcement soon. And some are now mentioning that those saying this game would be delayed were wrong.
