Scooby-Doo characters come to Animal Crossing!

On October 29, 2022, Reddit user u/washue made a post on the Animal Crossing subreddit. This post featured a fanart of Scooby-Doo characters re-imagined as Animal Crossing villagers. The iconic characters were shaped and dressed in typical AC style.

They turned the human characters of the show into anthropomorphic animals, in a style with the game. Shaggy was imagined as a dog, Fred was turned into an eagle, Velma was a squirrel and Daphne was a fox. The primary focus of the show, Scooby, remained the same, as he is already a dog, but was made bipedal. Also, he was referred to more as Scrappy in the comments.

Scooby-Doo and the mystery Inc was a show that delved into monsters, mystery, and horror so, it was the perfect subject matter for an AC fanart for Halloween. 

How did the fans react to the art? 

The fans were ecstatic to see such an adorable iteration of their favorite classic characters. They expressed how much they love the fanart and gave suggestions on how Nintendo could actually make this collaboration happen.
