Naturally, the number of critters coming and going varies depending on the change of seasons based on the hemisphere. Each of these species can be found during specific hours of the day and in a particular environment.

With May coming to a close, an assortment of different critters will leave the islands in both hemispheres at the end of the month. Similarly, to make up for the departures, a whole new batch of critters will become available for players to catch in June.

Catching a variety of rare fish, bugs, and deep-sea creatures is very important as one can then trade them for a healthy amount of Bells. It is one of the most efficient ways of generating income in the game quickly; you just need to know which ones are of high worth.

It’s also worth mentioning that donating the species you catch to the Museum will help you complete their respective exhibits. Besides, they contribute to filling out your NookPhone’s Critterpedia for unlocking golden tools.

Below we have listed all the bugs, fish, and sea creatures leaving at the end of May, as well as the new ones that will be coming in at the start of June, for both hemispheres. While veteran Animal Crossing: New Horizons players might be familiar with most of the names, for others, it is a good opportunity to track and trap the ones they need.
