Animal Crossing: New Horizons became a colossal hit since its release on Nintendo Switch. However, everyone was shocked when Nintendo suddenly announced it will no longer support New Horizons. Just after the release of the 2.0 update, developers mentioned they will no longer release major updates for the game.

Regardless of the developer’s decision, players are still having high hopes for them. Interestingly, Nintendo is still releasing constant minor updates in order to satisfy the users’ experience. Moreover, users are excited about the recent changes that arrived with the April update. Here’s everything you should know about the upcoming April events and seasonal items.

Upcoming April seasonal events in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

During the month of April, Nintendo introduces four seasonal events for players to keep excited. Furthermore, several newcomers want to get their hands on exclusive seasonal items through these events.

  • Singmogil

Singmogil event is commonly known as Tree Day or Tree planting day. Nintendo introduced the tree planting day with the 1.9 update in New Horizons. The Tree Day event starts on April 1 and lasts till April 10.

Singmogil will run alongside the Cherry Blossom season and offers an exclusive item for users to purchase. They can buy the gorgeous Forsythia tree item from Nook Stop during the event.

  • Prom Season

Prom Season has returned to New Horizons with a vast collection of new items and clothing for players to collect. Interestingly, the Prom Season last throughout April and features a collection of Prom-themed items to decorate and wear. Moreover, both Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere can take part in the event at the same time.

The exclusive items include Prom Sash, Prom Flooring, and Prom Wall. You can purchase all three items at Nook Stop during the event. Surprisingly, Nintendo also offers to collect a bunch of clothing items during the Prom Season from Able Sisters.

It includes Ballroom Mask, Elegant Masquerade Mask, Prom Crown, Prom Tiara, Dance Shoes, Bubble-Skirt Party Dress, Slip Dress, Sequin Dress, and Vibrant Tuxedo.

  • Nature Day

Moving forward, developers will also introduce the Nature Day event, formerly known as Earth Day. Nature Day takes place for a week between April 15 and through to April 22. During the event, players can purchase an eye-catching globe item from the Nook Stop. Interestingly, the globe item is also a throwback item to old Animal Crossing games.

  • Children’s Day

Similar to other real-life events, users can celebrate the Children’s Day event in ACNH. Interestingly, the Children’s Day celebration starts on April 28; however, it is actually celebrated on May 5.

Unfortunately, Children’s Day does not appear in New Horizons as a standard event, it appears as a Nook Shopping seasonal event. Moreover, developers let players purchase a Carp Banner and a Newsprint Helmet from Nook Shopping.
