From the looks of it, the game will continue this success even in 2021. This is clear from the enormous demand for the recently released Sanrio amiibo cards. In the US, they were up for sales exclusively on Target.

A lot of players woke up early in the morning hoping to get their hands on Sanrio amiibo cards. Unfortunately, all those dreams shattered into pieces after all the cards went out of stock in seconds. A lot of fans complained regarding the lack of organization by Target. According to some people, Target clearly mentioned that all the items will not be available in stores and they can only order them online.

However, a plethora of people stood in queues outside Target, and could even buy the Sanrio amiibo cards. This really disappointed many people, as some of them were trying to buy them online as early as 9 am, but couldn’t as they were out of stock.

Furthermore, now at eBay, the same cards that merely cost $6 are now available at $50-$120. That’s something very heartbreaking to see, as no player would like to buy the cards for almost ten times its original rate.

Possibility of Sanrio amiibo cards restock

A lot of players are expecting a restock eventually by Target. New Horizons has a vast community, and not even half of the community could get its hands on it. Nintendo wouldn’t want to see its fans disappointed like that and will step forward to help those in need.

According to YouTuber, SwitchForce, he has some intel on when Target might plan for a restock. He clarified we must consider the information with a pinch of salt. According to him, the restock date for all the Sanrio amiibo card will be April 28. Moreover, we might not see any online news of the card restock. All the cards might become available in stores and can be availed ‘first come first serve’.

Hopefully, we will not see any lack of organization by Target when the Sanrio amiibo cards restock. Furthermore, it doesn’t seem like fans will tolerate such behavior next time.
