The long awaited 1.8.0 update of Animal Crossing New Horizons is finally available for its users. The update was minor and mainly fixed some bugs within the game. However, we can’t blame Nintendo for this, as they already announced that the major update will roll on March 1.

Interestingly, the developers surprised their users with some amazing gifts as an update downloading reward. Surprisingly, one of the gifts was related to the Mario themed items coming to the game.

Free new Mario themed item in Animal Crossing New Horizons

The first thing that players will notice after downloading the update is that all the snow over the island is gone. This marks the ending of winter and the arrival of spring season. Furthermore, players will receive a mail from Nintendo after downloading the update.

The mail will offer players a new item named Mushroom mural. It is a decorative item that they can use inside their house. Mushroom mural will work as a wallpaper for players’ houses. It looks absolutely amazing and will definitely bring back some good old memories for Mario’s fans.

Another new item that players can buy at the Nook Stop is Hinaningyo for 2,560 bells. The new item is also a decorative item with a stack of many dolls. It is dedicated to the special day celebrated in Japan known as Hinamatsuri also called Doll’s Day or Girls’ Day.

Game changing item coming to the game

Developers are even introducing a new game changing item in the upcoming update, known as warp pipes. The warp pipes will help you travel to any location on your island. You just have to place two warp pipes on your island, which will work as a mode of transportation by swapping places with each other.

Besides, players won’t have to walk all around and it will save much more time and will be an efficient mode of transportation in the game.
