The 2.0 update is one of the most loved update by players in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Nintendo introduced many popular features from past titles in the November update. Users are enjoying the company of popular special characters like Brewster, Katrina, Kapp’n, and much more in New Horizons.

Although the 2.0 update released a lot of content, it missed out on an important feature. Many players hoped they will get another Nook’s Cranny upgrade in the 2.0 update. However, to everyone’s surprise, developers didn’t introduce this feature. Furthermore, Nintendo has already announced it won’t focus on ACNH from now onwards. Will Nook’s Cranny get another upgrade option in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Back in New Leaf, Timmy and Tommy’s store had a total of five upgrade options. This made players more excited to complete all the requirements to reach the maximum upgrade in the game. These are all the upgrade options available in New Leaf:

  • Nookling Junction is the first incarnation of the Nookling Stores.
  • T&T Mart is the second upgrade of the Nookling Stores.
  • Super T&T is the third expansion of the Nookling Stores.
  • T.I.Y. is the fourth expansion of the Nookling Store in the game.
  • T&T Emporium is the final and largest expansion of the Nookling Stores

Unfortunately, there are only two upgrade options for Nook’s Cranny in New Horizons. However, a YouTuber ceomg, found interesting detail that proves Nook’s Cranny will definitely get an upgrade in the future. With the help of a modded Switch, she discovered that there are stairs to the second floor behind the checkout counter in Nook’s Cranny.

If you don’t have a modded Switch, you won’t be able to pass the checkout counter. Furthermore, when she climbed the stairs, she was ascended to the second floor, which was pitch black.
