The year was 2020; the world was suffering from a terrible pandemic that had turned almost everyone into a prisoner in their own houses. During these bleak times, Japanese Gaming juggernaut, Nintendo released an RPG that soon became a beacon of hope for gamers all over the world. It was no other than Animal Crossing: New Horizons. 

Every person who was stuck inside their house found a new avenue to experience the outside world without leaving their houses and endangering their lives. With real-time features and wholesome interactable characters, ACNH became a life of its own. Even streamers were also regularly publishing Animal Crossing content to entertain the community. And now, they have come together to give tribute to the fading gem.

 Crossing: New Horizons gets honored on its anniversary

On the third anniversary of the beloved RPG, YouTube Gaming went ahead and gave the community a new kind of gift. They made custom character cards for streamers’ pets. This included Sykkyno’s Bimbus, Valkyrae’s Mika, and many more. The Animal Crossing community on Twitter went crazy seeing their favorite pets in ACNH avatars.

The YouTube community rejoiced the day. All the dedicated channels shared new tribute content for the game that changed their lives. Some shared emotional compilations and island challenge videos, while many posted recaps of their journey in the game. Giving a hearty thank you to ACNH for being with them in the tough times. 

The cuteness overloaded the fans

Seeing the cute avatars of their favorite streamers’ pets, fans flocked to the comment section, expressing their love and appreciation for the game and the art. While Nintendo has already announced that there won’t be anything coming to ACNH and the game is practically dead, this small gesture by the video-sharing platform has filled the community with love and nostalgia. 

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a social simulation game developed and published by Nintendo in 2020 for the Nintendo Switch; it is the fifth main entry in the Animal Crossing series. It is one of the most successful entries on the Switch selling over 40  million copies worldwide.
