As the highly anticipated DLC of Horizon Forbidden West, Burning Shores gets close to its official release, fans have been blessed with another present! The developers released a behind-the-scenes video showcasing the mocap actors and the development process of the DLC. In the process, they also introduced a brand new character that will be parallel to the protagonist.

The devs share that the expansion’s storyline takes place right after the events of the base game. This new chapter will be focusing on the newly introduced character, Seyka, who, according to the mo-cap actress, Kylie, will be “another strong bad*ss woman warrior” who will be joining Aloy as a companion.

Sony shares BTS of Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores

Sony finally shared a brand new video on their official YouTube channel showcasing the behind the scene journey of Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC. The video starts with an interview with the actress behind Seyka’s character, Kylie Liya Page, who says that the whole experience has been very humbling for her.

For Kylie, this was her very first video game project. But to her fortune, Page had some help in the shape of Ashly Burch. Burch had been playing the leading lady, Aloy, for quite some while, garnering all the necessary experience to guide her junior and newcomer, Kylie. The video shows a lot of action-packed sequences, which will unfold on April 19, 2023.

The newly revealed character Seyka, is a strong warrior from the Quen tribe. She will be aiding Aloy in her new journey across the grand world of Horizon. Both the characters will be fighting through new sets of challenges and enemies.

The Burning Shores expansion, taking place right after the end of the base story of Forbidden West, will be offering a brand new experience. The setting of the DLC will be the volcanic archipelago of Los Angeles. While this is set to be an experience, the same cannot be said for many fans.

Although Horizon Forbidden West had released on the PlayStation 4, this new expansion will not be available on the console. The developers have put all their focus on the latest console and delivered a solid expansion exclusively for the PS5.
