In the past couple of years, a new dating concept has surged on the internet among celebrities and the normal crowd. It is called ‘Shoot your shot,’ where a person tries his luck on their crush, favorite celebrity, or someone whose attention they need, with a dedicated style. The normal crowd generally uses it to slide into Instagram DMs, but celebrities themselves have their own. They rely on the social media accounts of one another, dropping a comment or calling them out in dedicated posts.

And well, there have been thousands of examples of it, with a trivial outcome. So recently, there was another case featured on the internet where Anthony Taylor tried his luck with Pokimane.

Will Anthony Taylor succeed in getting his request granted by Pokimane?

On May 13, 2023, Anthony ‘PrettyBoy’ Taylor made history by ending Salt Papi’s streak. He defeated his opponent with a fair score from the judges: 30-27, 30-27, and 29-28. The three-round bout created an emotional atmosphere in the ring, as well as the arena, as multiple boxers tried to pin Salt Papi down. However, it was only Taylor who could break him, creating an upset in Misfits Boxing 7.

Post his fight, Taylor enjoyed a good-ol-week with the victory in his hand. But then, he wanted to spice things up, calling out a Twitch streamer publicly. In his May 17 Tweet, Anthony called out Pokimane, one of the biggest streamers in the eSports industry. For those uninitiated, Imane Anys, aka Pokimane, ranks herself among her elites. Her contribution to various games like Fortnite, League Of Legends, and more has helped her have a breakthrough, let alone enjoy a successful career.

And recently, she became part of the Gucci family as the brand invited her to Milan Fashion Week and Gucci Cruise 2024. On the other hand, Anthony Taylor stole the number five position in the world after his extraordinary win at Misfits Boxing 7. Given that, the former MMA fighter tried to shoot his shot at Pokimane, hoping for a positive answer.

While he may have taken the shot, the streamer did not reply or even fulfill his request. So, the question lies in whether she just ignored the boxer’s request, or might take some time to think before landing on a decision.
