With the release of the game later this month, warehouses for online retailers such as Amazon and other online shopping platforms already have the game. This is done to ensure there is no delay for pre-orders. Moreover, retail stores also have copies of the game waiting in their warehouses for release dates.

However, if any fans have indeed got their hands on a copy of the game, it is a much more serious matter. This is similar to an issue faced by one Amazon retailer a few weeks ago when some Nintendo Switch devices as well as copies of Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom were stolen from a warehouse. During this incident, fans working as warehouse employees stole from the warehouse to play the game early.

The picture first appeared on 4Chan. Gamers strongly suspect it to be a leak.

Fans give their take on Reddit

Following this, the Final Fantasy community had their take on the matter, scared about getting spoilers, yet enjoying the suspense surrounding how the picture leaked.

However, the consensus remained over avoiding spoilers. Fans said they could not risk finding out anything about the title. Even if it was not someone who took the copy to play the game early, they would go on a media blackout to avoid spoilers.
