Respawn, the studio behind popular and much-loved games like Apex Legends, Titanfall, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, finally revealed that it is currently working on a unique single-player game. Mohammad Alavi (creative director) confirmed this news from his official Twitter handle. He revealed that a ”small but ambitious team” with big dreams is looking for different roles. The studio is open for the following positions:

• Lead Technical Game Designer
• Senior Combat Designer
• Senior Level Designer
• Technical Game Designer
• Senior Level Designer.

The whole job listing doesn’t give much information or details about the actual game. But the job description of the roles reveals quite a lot about the single-player game.

The job description reads, ”This new single-player title is a designer’s dream playground with the freedom to innovate, made possible by the unique universe it inhabits. Our critically acclaimed multi-platform games have always established a fun comes the first sensibility in a design process that allows creativity and new ideas to shine.”

According to the adverts, the game title is in its initial stage. All the selected candidates will work on the brand new game from the initial stage.

Development work of Apex Legends

Back in April 2021, Respawn also confirmed that it is currently creating a brand new original game. Well, it is not clear if this single-player game is the brand new IP that the studio announced a few months back. The studio has a lot of work on its hands already. Rumors suggest the studio is currently working on the follow-up for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the development work of Apex legends. It is a multiplayer shooter game.

EA is trying to publish more and more single-player games because of the tremendous success and appreciation of Star Wars Jedi. In June 2021, EA also stated that approximately 20 million players played the much-loved game across multiple platforms. Respawn is also gearing up hard to launch Apex Legend Season 10 on time. It is going to introduce some really cool world edge maps, a brand new hero seer, plus some fresh ranked arena.
