Apex Legends: Developer Draws Comparison Between Arena Mode and Fortnite and League of Legends

The community has been discussing the rumored arena mode for quite some time. Leaks and various reports suggested the addition of this mystery mode that will seriously revamp Apex Legends. Now community members have already dug out a hidden code inside new LTM war games. It revealed to be another teaser that pointed at the same event.
Naturally, this added to the already growing hype behind the Arena mode, as it could feature a new character. The gaming studio has stated that it will soon release a trailer for the event.

A developer suggests Arena mode will be significant to Apex Legends
According to a report by GameSpot, Apex Legends is posturing to go beyond Battle Royale format. Respawn entertainment executive, Ryan K. Rigney, also shared an interesting response on the thread. He suggested that Arena mode will add significant value to the game. It will also imitate the unprecedented success of Fortnite and League of Legends’ team fight tactics.

The developer wants to deliver a story uniquely
In conversation with Gamespot, the developer Chad Grenier shared important details about the transformation of the title. He stated the studio has assigned a dedicated team to work on quest lines that were in Season 5.

However, the unprecedented situation with COVID-19 caused a lot of issues for the studio. It compelled them to come up with new plans to deliver stories through Battle Royale without adding story-oriented quests and missions.
“A lot of those people have moved on to work on things for future seasons, to tell a story, and bring some new, cool things to the game. So, we’re not done doing things like that. We’re always innovating and trying to push things forward. And we’ve got a lot of people on the team that loved doing things like that. So, yeah–I think you’ll be surprised with future stuff coming out.”

Hence, the studio decided to add comic strips and audio logs to tell the story. It enabled them to keep the Battle Royale experience intact, while also providing interesting lore snippets. Safe to say, the title will invent the wheel once again, and add yet another impressive content that will shed light on the lore as well.
