Why is EA banning Apex Legend accounts?

In a recent report, it was discovered that Apex Legends players who are using Andrew Tate as a name for their profile are getting banned. The reason given behind these bans is subjected as “Hateful Conduct”. Although some think that it is a required move, many fans are trying to prove otherwise.

In the report by EA to Top G’s fans, it was written, “We received a report about your account or profile name. It may be the name you created on another platform. This name breaks our Positive Play Charter because you may have used words or phrases that harm others or negatively disrupt the game.”

Further, it was disclosed in the report that, “Even if the content was intended as a joke, it may still disrupt the game for others. While you created this name on another platform, players can see it while playing EA games and that makes it subject to our rules of conduct.”

Notably, this was made clear that it was not a joke or a troll attempt and that they were serious about the violation of rules. Many fans got upset on the matter and some even said that it’s “Apex Legends vs Apex Predator.”

For those who don’t know, Andrew Tate got banned from basically every social media platform because of his controversial statements about women and gender equality.

This later became a huge issue on Twitter and YouTube, and gradually he was banned from all the social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
