Apple’s Scary Fast event was a success with many people in the industry discussing what the company showcased. One image in particular that caught the focus of the fans was the one with the new iMacs. Although the new Macs look sleeker than ever, it was the fact that there was a PlayStation Dualsense Controller in the picture, that caught everyone’s attention. In the picture, fans can further see that the monitors are not displaying pictures or videos, but games instead. This had many fans wondering what Apple was up to.

During the event, Apple made various announcements and one that made Mac users very happy was the one about their upgraded chipset. The new faster M3 chips for Macs and the A17 chip in the iPhone 15 Pro were announced. What makes this big news is the fact that the new M3 chips will support ray tracing which has gamers curious to know how this will work out. The PlayStation controllers in the picture have more of a story behind them. It looks like Apple has been partnering up with Sony to meet some of their gaming needs. While Windows has Xbox, Apple seems to be making a move with Sony for support on their gaming ventures. As a cherry on top, gamers can now buy the PlayStation 5 Dualsense controller from the Apple website. The new Dualsense controllers are compatible with macOS 11.3 or later, iOS 14.5 or later, iPadOS 14.5 or later, and tvOS 14.5 or later.

Fans notice what Apple and Sony are up to

Looking at this collaboration, many fans have started to understand the reason for the collaboration. Microsoft is the common rival for both these companies. While Apple is at the top of its game when it comes to hardware and software, it lacks the experience Sony has with gaming. Looking at this, some fans started to point out that Apple has found the right company to fulfill their gaming needs.

Upon seeing the image, other fans wondered if there was a bigger collaboration coming up. To which we can only wait for the future to tell.

One informed fan spoke about their understanding of the relationship between Apple and Sony. They also mentioned how the Dualsense seems to be the stock controller for Apple just as the Xbox controller is for the PC.

While a lot of people were happy to see the new direction Apple was taking, some couldn’t get over Apple’s past of not being known for gaming.
