Apple Music subscribers can now listen to their favorite music while playing games. After months of waiting, this App is finally available to download on Playstation 5. As confirmed by Sony, the App is available for Playstation 5 users all across the globe. It’s very good news, especially for those players who enjoy listening to music while playing games.

This App also has a music recommendation feature that will assist music according to the theme of the video game. Players can also watch 4k music videos and listen to their favorite radio stations. Players can also listen to music through videos running in the background while playing games.

On 27th Oct 2021, Sony confirmed this integration which makes PlayStation 5 the first console to receive this feature. Unfortunately, this feature is not yet available to other consoles like PlayStation 4 and Xbox. Also, there is no confirmation about its release on other consoles yet. How to download the Apple Music app on PS5™ consoles 

1. Select All Apps from your media home. 
2. Select Apple Music > Download. 
3. Launch the Apple Music App. 
4. Select Sign up or Log in and enter your details. 
5. Follow the prompts to link your accounts.

It looks like apple music is increasing its accessibility across other platforms like Android mobile phones, Smart TV, Amazon echo, etc. Apple will also expand this service to Xbox in the future. According to the PlayStation Blog, here’s what it says about its music video playback feature:

“Apple Music subscribers can also find and watch music videos from a wide selection of artists in the Apple Music app. Start by playing the video in full screen; if you decide you want to go back to your gameplay or navigate elsewhere on the PS5’s home screen, the audio from the music video will continue to play.”

“If you want to go back to the music video, it’ll also pick up seamlessly from wherever you are in the song, with no interruption to the music.”
