Nintendo’s Pokemon franchise is one of the most successful video game franchises of all time. It is pretty evident by the fact that the last Pokemon game for Nintendo Switch, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet sold over 10 million copies within three days of its launch.

Other than new mainline games in the series, developer Game freak and publisher Nintendo tend to keep things interesting by re-releasing HD versions of classic Pokemon games on Nintendo Switch.

And those games do pretty well too, with some modern features added to those games, they really pull some crowd. That means that Nintendo has no intention of stopping with these re-releases.

Nintendo and Game Freak might be planning a Switch remake of two more classic Pokemon games!

Popular Pokemon news source PokéXperto recently made it known that Game Freak has re-registered Pokemon X and Y logos in Japan.

This might mean that we might be up for Pokemon X and Y DLC for Scarlet and Violet. These games were previously launched exclusively for Nintendo’s 3DS system and were pretty successful at launch. These were also two of the first Pokemon games that offered some really fleshed-out after-campaign elements.

We might not even be surprised if we see the DLC getting revealed sometime next year. As of now, there is no other news of any more Pokemon games coming anytime soon.

Or the reason for re-registration might be the 10-year celebration of these games’ launch. And maybe they have started planning the remakes of these games and we might see them dropping with Nintendo Switch 2.

Anything is a possibility currently, Nintendo is hardly making any bad choices, and most of their decisions are paying in spades. So, it would not even be surprising if these games release and see insane success.
