Minecraft is the best-selling video game of all time. But that doesn’t generally entail the fact that the devs are also hailed as one of the best in the business. While the game has been around for a long, long time, fans aren’t happy with the lack of content in the game in recent times. The sandbox survival game allows for a lot of activities in the game, enabling players to push their imaginations and the game to their limits.
And yet, many community members are of the opinion that devs Mojang Studios could do much better with new content for the game. It looks like there is something cooking at Mojang Studios, as something new is on the horizon for the game. Gamers and enthusiasts can’t help but be curious and eager to see what the future holds for their beloved game.

It seems like a positive move, since Minecraft fans also have something to say about its lack of new stuff, despite its popularity and features. A petition to request the devs for more content was announced only days ago. Since then, fans have come in flocks making it clear that they believe the lack of new material isn’t something they’re taking lightly. 350,000 fans have signed the petition within 4 days and the numbers are only expected to grow.
An Enhanced Minecraft Could Finally Be Coming to the Xbox as It Gets Rated by ESRB
However, the lack of new material isn’t something that sits well with the gaming community. While games are hailed or booed at launch, later additions can change perspectives quickly. For instance, Cyberpunk 2077 failed to impress fans when it was released. But later DLCs and new materials have helped to turn the tides for devs CD Projekt Red.
Minecraft determined to retain glory
While the devs are facing allegations of lack of content, Minecraft isn’t going anywhere just yet. Only last month, we got to learn that an enhanced version of the popular game may finally be arriving on Xbox consoles soon. The game is already rated by the ESRB and an official announcement is all that we’re waiting for.

We should also remember that such petitions can make wonders for games. Fortnite was a game that was attacked several times over a lack of new materials. The devs weren’t entirely ignorant of such requests and ended up dropping a ton of new stuff that still has players hooked to the game for months.
