Assassin’s Creed is one of the most popular action-adventure franchises. The series started in 2007 with the first of the classics. Released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Assassin’s Creed eventually went on to become one of the biggest highlights of the gaming scene. Ubisoft has left no stone unturned to keep up with the legacy of the franchise. But fans still believe the charm of the original is unmatchable.

The debut title of the series received an exceptional response from the gaming community. It was also appreciated by the critics which was a rare feat for any title back then. The impact the debut of Assassin’s Creed has had on the players is great. No surprises, the title is part of fan discussions even to date. After almost 16 years of its release, the title is being hailed as a ‘Masterpiece’.

“A Masterpiece”: Fans Revisit The Legacy of Assassin’s Creed 

A Reddit user candidly expressed his views on the debut of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. He wrote, “Assassin’s Creed is a damn masterpiece, from the ambiance of the cities to the historic approach the game tried to take in comparison to the others of the franchise.” The user further stressed how the game had brought revolutionary innovations in the action genre of gaming. From costumes to detailing of cities and depth in characters, the title was nearly perfect.

While most of the gamers were in agreement with the fan, few added their contributions. The community in unity believes that the quality of the original has been compromised over the years with Ubisoft trying to capture the market. Evidently, the detailing done in the debut was missing from the following releases. The title is considered to be the most immersive of all the parts of the series. This is a remarkable achievement considering it is the oldest one.  The makers have also supposedly considered the demand of bringing the original vibes back as they have advertised Mirage on similar grounds.

Assassin’s Creed Fans Demand a Spin-Off Title Making Them the Franchise Villains

The franchise is in social media trends again as its thirteenth installment Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set to hit the markets in October this year. Although it might be very hard for the title to match up to the standards of the first one, fans still have high hopes for Mirage. It will be interesting to see if there’s hope for redemption of the cult legacy set by the debut.
