Following this game’s huge success, the Founder and CEO of Larian Studios (the development team behind BG3) and the game’s director, Swen Vincke, have made an assuring statement that has filled all the fans with joy and excitement.

Accolades from Baldur’s Gate 3

The game is right now at the top spot on Metacritic’s list of the Best Games of 2023, with a Metascore of 96 on the basis of 48 critic reviews and a user score of 9.2. Not only that, but this game has beaten another fantastic title this year, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, to claim the No. 1 spot.

Adding another feather to the crown, Baldur’s Gate 3 has been rated 97 by PC Gamer, a highly esteemed organization famous for news, demos, updates, and ratings of PC Games. It has been 16 years since any game has been rated so highly by PC Gamer, since Crysis in 2007, which was rated 98.

Seeing the ratings on PC Gamer, Swen Vincke seems very happy. So much so that he retweeted the tweet of PC Gamer with some promising and proud words.

He says that he is so proud of the team, and they never expected this kind of success on the first shot.

But the one thing that made the fans go gaga was this word of Vincke’s: “The greatest thing about all of this is that we can continue to make games like this.”

That means there is a high risk that Baldur’s Gate 4 is coming very soon.

He has also said that this success may go wrong upon expansion. But he is sure that something like this is surely coming in the near future because of the unparalleled love it has received till now.
