Game Studios have lined up multiple heavy-weight titles to come out in the latter part of the year. From Spider-Man 2 to Starfield, gamers are definitely in for a treat in the last months of 2023. However, no other game surprised the fans to the extent of Baldur’s Gate 3.

This Larian Studios title made waves online for showcasing multiple intimate scenes with a bear in the gameplay reveal. But according to a senior writer at Larian Studios, that was just the tip of the iceberg. Baldur’s Gate 3, upon its release, will take intimacy in-game to a whole new level.
Baldur’s Gate 3 dev reveals the game will offer a lot of intimate scenes
A shocking revelation for fans came forward in a recent tweet from John Corcoran, senior writer at Larian Studios. Corcoran revealed he has been working on the companion romance arcs for Baldur’s Gate 3, something the game has become notorious for. He boldly claimed that the intimate bear scene that shocked the fans in the gameplay reveal does not hold a candle to the final tests being done on companion romance arcs.
Don’t get me wrong – it’s also affecting, funny, gripping, and worthy of any number of superlatives you can dream up… but also mainstream, big-budget horny in a way I thought went extinct in the mid-90s in movies, and may never have been seen in games of this scale.

However, he further added that fans should not focus only on that aspect of the game as it has various other things to offer. He said, “Don’t get me wrong – it’s also affecting, funny, gripping, and worthy of any number of superlatives you can dream up”. But, according to him, the intimate scenes of the game reminded him of the “mid-90s in movies”.
Corcoran went on to say the level of intimacy Baldur’s Gate 3 has to offer will be a first for games being made on this scale. However, that’s not all that will be a first for a game being made at this scale. The game will consume a whopping 122 GB size on storage and players will not be able to preload it. Larian Studios has suggested that early-access players make a fresh start when the game launches.
