Baldur’s Gate 3 is already the 8th highest-played game of all time. Despite not having a Metascore at release, fans have been spending thousands of hours on the game. Larian Studios’ “old-school” approach to launching a title has won the fans. However, fans also reported a lot of issues with the game after its PC release. However, there is something to bring joy to the community as the devs have announced a long list of fixes and changes coming with a patch.

Despite a few hot fixes being dropped by the devs, a full-fledged patch will be the first major update after the release earlier this month.

Patch 1 to mitigate Baldur’s Gate 3 bugs

The patch news ensures that the devs are working in accordance with the bug reports by the players. Baldur’s Gate 3 players have been doing a lot of unexpected stuff in the game and these actions have also faced them with a number of bugs. Larian also refused to follow the industry trends once again and did not release a roadmap for fixes or patches. The reason behind this, the devs explain, is that they don’t want to make commitments without properly knowing the things they will have to undertake in the process.

However, the rumored Patch 1 is coming for sure. Larian claims the patch will be a “gigantic list of tweaks and changes.” Since the game’s release, a number of hot fixes have been released with war-time urgency by the devs. These fixes have tried to tackle issues of saves, various bugs, stability, and much more.

The devs also tweaked things around to increase the size of saved games so that players can adjust their personal tapestry in-game.

Baldur’s Gate 3 already has a huge player-base

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been winning hearts since it was released on 3rd August. There are currently over 800,000 concurrent players, making it one of the most-played games of all time already. The game is already accounted for 28% of the total player time on Steam. Such statistics only highlight just how much the game is being appreciated by the fans.

Players are also letting their imaginations go wild as they’re already making mods to the game. Players are also finding out every possible quest in the game to forge their choice of weapons to assist their journey in the Dungeons & Dragons-inspired sandbox-style title.
