On the first anniversary of Elden Ring, the game’s publisher Bandai Namco released some exciting stats related to the game. According to this stat, there have been over 5.9 billion boss fight attempts in the past year since the game hit the shelves.

The more intriguing fact about this stat was the most attempted boss fight in the game. Over 329 million Elden Ring players attempted to defeat Malenia, Blade of Miquella. But what makes this stat more surprising is that Malenia is not even a mandatory boss battle in the game.

Those who have played this 2022 Game of the Year title know that players can avoid fighting Malenia if they want. Not defeating the Blade of Miquella wouldn’t affect the game in any manner. A player can even go up against this Demi-God-type boss after completing the game’s main story.
