The game recorded over astronomical 750,000 players on Steam after launch. To put things in perspective, Dark Souls, the title from which Elden Ring is loosely inspired, has had a peak player count of 129,975 players.

The game’s world-building and other aspects were done under the guidance of George R.R Martin, the world-renowned author who is behind the incredibly successful and iconic ‘Game of Thrones’ series.
It seems like Bandai Namco, the distributor of the title, has received such great reception with their game that their employees will be witnessing an impressive hike in their wages.

Bandai Namco employees to receive raises
Elden Ring, while having its fair share of issues, has witnessed immense success. In fact, it looks like Bandai Namco will be rewarding its employees with a raise that will surely help stabilize their incomes.
Fresh off its Elden Ring success, Bandai Namco is giving all employees a raise of an average of 50,000 yen ($434) a month.

Gearoid Reidy, Bloomberg News’ Senior Director of Business in Tokyo Tweeted something interesting. It seems like Bandai Namco will be rewarding its employees with a substantial raise. The developers and employees will be receiving a raise of $434 a month. Adding on, new employees joining the company will witness a starting salary of 290,000 yen ($2,500). This new salary is an increase by a whopping 25%.

Adding on, Bandai Namco seems to be pushing for a more work-healthy environment for its employees. The document released mentions of an ‘activity-based working’ system. This seemingly will allow employees to more freely opt for their working conditions such as work from home.
