Batman is Coming Back to Fortnite, But It’s Not the One You Think

Popular battle royale Fortnite and Batman are collaborating for a crossover to be released on October 26. Offered during the event will be a skin pack as well as answers to questions regarding Fortnite’s lore. This collaboration will feature a unique Batman, and the event will see The Batman Who Laughs as its DC skin. It will be available free of cost to whoever buys the crossover comic.
Moreover, quite similar to previous skins such as the Harley Quinn one, the new skin will be available to purchase in the in-game store as well.
This skin will be the fifth Batman skin to feature in the game. However, it is safe to say that this skin is quite different from the other skins released, to say the least. The Batman Who Laughs has a similar origin story to the other versions of Batman. However, in this universe, he is exposed to a toxic substance by the Joker, which in turn, ‘Joker-fies’ him. This makes him psychotic and insane.

This iteration of Batman is from one of the dark dimensions and it is quite different and much more violent and gritty. This maniacal version of Batman has received little mainstream limelight outside the comics.
Batman/Fortnite: Foundation #1 comic
The upcoming comic is titled Foundation. This is closely linked to the mysterious character, The Foundation. He was ultimately locked away by the Zero Point. However, it was soon revealed that The Foundation was, in fact, alive in an undisclosed location. The location has now been confirmed to be Gotham City Harbour.

This rendition of Batman is arguably one of the more unnerving and creepy ones out there. Considering the fact that he brutally murdered the entirety of the Justice League and took over the world in a Joker-esque fashion, this skin is more than a suitable fit for the Fortniemares Halloween Event. The skin will release along with the comic on October 26.
